I think many of you already know that we will be moving very soon and relocating back to Michigan where we are originally from. The movers will be coming to pack us up very soon and I did a little packing of my own in my craft closet. I didn't want the movers to touch any of my really old papers so I packed four (yes four, I know!) storage bins out of my craft closet and I walked in my little space and it looks so sad now. I have to say I will really miss my little space and I have had a lot of good memories with my little craft closet like this one and look at the photos that my friend took that never made the book over here. I am very fortunate that my little space is forever in print and I will always have those special memories documented to remember my very first creative space. I am really looking forward to creating a new space in our new home (we haven't bought a house yet but I will keep you posted). I am so looking forward to having an entire room to myself and I am very thankful that my husband is so supportive of me wanting to make sure we buy a home that I can have a room to myself. I tried to find the post when I shared this video but I have way to many posts to sift though so here is a video of me sharing my space with all of you. Here is what it looks like now...empty and ready to moved on to the next phase.
I will keep you posted on our house hunting and I promise to share what my new space will look like hopefully very soon.

mmmm, that's what you call empty??!! (smile)
Being a Michigander myself, I can't honestly say I'm sorry you have to move here, but wherever you land I hope you and yours will be over-the-moon happy in this new phase of your life.
All the best!

Lori, I am so sad that we never got to meet in person. I know that you will be more creative than ever when you get to your new home! Just don't forget about us Razorbacks!

LOVE your video! I totally understand what you mean by having your fabrics in piles, rather than neatly stacked. It makes visual eye candy that way! Good luck on your move.

Awww...a small space full of the loveliest pretties ever!! I know there's a little sentimental feeling knowing the closet was your little craft haven. It's wonderful that it's in print for you to always remember it by. Now you are on to a new house...new craft space! Bigger Im sure! Yay!! xo.Jenn

Hi Lori,
I hope you had a very Happy Christmas. I am a lucky lady, as I had a copy of 'where women create book of inspiration' as an Xmas gift from my Mum. It was a thrill to find your beautiful little workspace included in its pages...You will always have that reminder and I hope you will have an equally lovely space when you move...maybe it will be a little bigger?11
My best wishes for 2012,
Niki

Your craft closet is a lovely space. When our kids were little and we were living in graduate student housing I got the front walk-in closet to make my wreaths. It was big enough for a table and I added shelves where the hanging rod was. It was a great space. I sometimes think my smaller space was actually better for my creativity. Best wishes on your move to Michigan, It holds a lot of good connections & memories for me!

I understand how you felt when you bid goodbye to the spot where you started to mold your creative mind. But I'm sure you'll find room to continue your beautiful artwork when you finally move in to your new home.
