Those are great! Yep, I love uncovering forgotten treasures, too. It's like reliving the buying excitement all over again, without spending any money.

I know exactly what you mean. I always wonder how it is that no one cares about these photos. I TREASURE the old photos of my ancestors. You found some great pictures!

Lori, I LOVE these photos you've collected! They are so precious....and I couldn't have resisted them either. Whenever I run across them...I adopt them as my 'relatives.' Since I've no old family photos of my own...this provides me with a family history, of sorts.
Yours are particularly beautiful. pat

I really love old photos however I totally agree with Kathy. I believe my families greatest treasure is our old family photos with their stories. I do know who each and every relative is because I would always bug my Gram to take them out and look at them. And ask over and over... Who's that? I always wanted to share the cute photos on line. However my Mom has always been totally against it "because the people in our photos have a family". That may be true of our family. But thank goodness for people like you and Patricia who adopts the other old pictures as their own.

Your post made me feel compelled to comment. I have been going through my mothers belongings and discovered photo albums belonging to family members who have long since passed on. Some are familiar to me, but most are not. I have taken these albums to my home, but I am the last of the line - there is no other family member to pass these treasures on to, so my family photos will probably suffer the same fate as the photos you have found in antique shops and fleamarkets, and wondered about. It's very sad for me to think about it, but maybe they will be purchased by someone who loves old photos as you and so many others do and they will once again be looked upon with love and smiles.
