I thought I would share with all of you my side of the bed. As you can see, I like to keep it neat and I have my side arranged in a pleasing way. I have some of my favorite collages displayed on the wall as well as a few other things I cherish.
Now lets take a look at my husband's side....I can't believe I am showing you this because it is that bad.
Umm...Not sure why he has a Star Wars figure on his side? I think the girls were playing with it and forgot to put it away? {Can you believe that he still has all of his original action figures? The girls love to play with them and they keep them busy for hours}. Look at all of the dust...OMG. I really really hate that organizer he has on top of the dresser....It annoys to me all ends.
Nothing on the wall above his dresser...plain and simple is how he likes it. Oh, I really hate those lamps and he WILL NOT let me get rid of them. I pretty much decorate how I like in the rest of our house but there are a few things that he insists on. I guess that is what it means to be married...mastering the art of compromise.
P.S. I promise that the rest of my house is not dusty like my husband's side!

That is very funny! I am glad you don't dust it for him,
Suz

Lori, That looks just like one of my lamps, and my DUST! So funny! I really enjoyed your post.

I can totally relate. My husband is an engineer and well, if it's not practical it just doesn't make sense to him. But like you, I hold my ground. It's all about the art of compromise. Thanks for the honest and funny post!

You are so funny sharing this, you should see my side of the bed and then my hubby's side. His side looks just like your hubbys. Just recently found you blog and I love it... Keep up inspiring us all.

This is so funny! I love that you didn't take the action figure out for the picture! My husband's side pretty much looks like my side. It's the drawers inside that will tell a different story!

I've always heard that 'opposites attract.' It is so in my house. And, my sister tells me that dust 'is a protective cover for furniture.' Myself...I like your 'side' better. pat

That's too funny! My husband's side has lots of dust and a cpap machine. Real attractive. Mine's not much better, though. Messy stacks of books, a lamp and more dust.

This was a great post, so REAL to life.
I got a chuckle-same situation here at home.
Only I think mine is worse-in the hunt for a new bureau for husband, will say no more!
Have a wonderful week.
