This will be my last post for a couple of weeks, I will be soon headed off to Michigan to see family and friends for the holidays. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and I will talk to you soon.
Lately, it seems like I have been looking at the wrong side of my craft room door. I have been walking by on a regular basis with loads of laundry or chasing Lucy around the house and there seems to be no time to work on any projects. We are going to be leaving soon to go back to Michigan for the holiday's so I need to get organized for the trip home. I just can't believe how fast the holiday's came up, it seems like it was just Halloween. Life is just zipping by. Since my little craft room is so small, I am sure you can guess that I am running out of room....Yep you are right! My supplies and favorite things are over flowing to the other side of the door. That bark clothpurse was from Second Chance in Omaha and I use that to store projects that are not completed or I am too lazy to put away. (I would hope to think it was more of the first vs. the ladder). Below is a bulletin board that was suppose to be in the laundry room but I swiped it to display some things that inspire me. At least I am looking at pretty things when I walk by with all of my dirty clothes. I am off to relax on the sofa and dig into my favorite ice cream, Ben and Jerry's Chunky Monkey. Have a great night.
I am sitting here on the sofa reading a magazine (with a little peace and quiet) with the Christmas tree lights on and it is one of my favorite things to do. I thought I would share some photos of our family Christmas tree.
I made this vintage ornament wreath the other day because I decided that the one I made a few years ago, just wasn't enough. Every girl can always use another vintage ornament wreath right? I have so many vintage ornaments stashed in apothecary jars and placed on sterling silver trays and I ran out of room to display some of my favorites. So, I decided to make another one and it only took 1/2 hour to make. I just started with a wire wreath form and wrapped tinsel around it and then wired all of the bulbs on it. I wired the bulbs because if one of them broke, I would be able to take it off and add another very easily. I wish I could put the bulbs on the Christmas tree but with Lucy I am not sure that would end well. My Mom's tree is decorated in vintage bulbs and it is the prettiest tree ever. I hope Lucy doesn't break them when we go back to Michigan for the holidays. I would love to make two more wreaths and hang them all on one wall, wouldn't that be something? Below are photos from the wreath that I made a couple years ago.
My moment of peace is now over....Lucy woke up from her nap. Have a great Sunday!
I have been working on a couple of projects that I was going to add to my Etsy shop but I decided to send them off to some friends instead. If I get around to making more paper ribbons and petite shadow boxes, I will add a few to my poor neglected shop. I need more hours in the day and a little more sleep!
I have had a virus on my computer for the past week and I finally got it all situated and I can't tell you how ANNOYING it is to have computer problems. Anyway....moving on, this wreath was my absolute favorite purchase from Silver Bella. Isn't it pretty! I just love it and I am so happy I bought it.
You have probably already read about this on the other girls blogs, but I was so happy to be able to go to Hanna's Treasures (AKA Wallpaper Heaven). Let me tell you, I was WAY over whelmed. There was so much to choose from and I didn't know which way to look after a while. Below are some photos and some of the wallpaper that I bought.
One more fun thing....My sweet Lucy turned one on Thanksgiving! I can't believe how fast the year went. She is walking all over the house and it is the cutest thing. Have a great day.
