Craft supplies....check

This morning while I had some alone time, I gathered all of my supplies for Silver Bella.  What a task....I have two small vintage suitcases that I am bringing, one for my tools and the other for all of my fun embellishments.  I thought I could stay some what organized that way.  It is so hard to plan ahead at what elements you want to use in your projects.  I am not going to worry about it, I will just finish all of my projects at home and make them my own.

I made this pocket to store some of my papers out of some scrap fabric I had laying around.

Sorry this is so short...I am off to the grocery store then get ready for tricker treating.  Have a great Halloween.
 

Paper envelopes

 

Sorry I have been such a bad blogger....it seems like the week zooms on by and I am constantly trying to catch up.  I have a ton of stuff going on in my life professionally and personal and sometimes it is just too much! I won't bore you with my professional life but personally I am in full swing of trying to get all of my supplies together for Silver Bella, what a task that is.  I am so glad I am driving and I can pretty much take and bring back what I want.  My thoughts are with you girls that have to fit everything into a suitcase.  Last night I made these paper envelopes out of vintage sheet music and old book pages.  I love to create projects that I can do very quickly.

Look at my roses how pretty they still look in October....they make me very happy.

I am off to the grocery store ...I hope you are going to have a more creative day than me!
 

Latest project

This is going to be a quick post...I have to pack to get ready for a business trip for the next couple of days.  When ever I go away on business, it is not just me that I have to get situated, I have to set a side all of the girls clothing and make sure my husband knows what is going on for the week.  He is great when I am gone but I sometimes have to guide him in the right direction.  You know what I mean?  For the next three days, I will behind the glass observing focus groups for some research that I am conducting for my job.  Pretty exciting uh?  I have three articles to write for Somerset magazines and it will be the perfect opportunity to get them all done at out of the way.  This is a petite collage that I created for a friend for Silver Bella.  I hope she likes it.  

One month to go!

I can't believe that Silver Bella is right around the corner...it seems like I just convinced my husband that I NEEDED to go.  I am still amazed that he said OK, go ahead and have fun.  Last night I worked on my vintage paper swap and I am happy to report it is almost complete.  My apron is set and I am so excited to wear it and I can't wait to see all of the other aprons.  I guess I now need to figure out what supplies I need to bring for my classes and start gathering all of that.  It is a good problem to have.  Oh, I have also started to gather up some small presents for my roommates, girls that I have known {and they seem like we have been my friends for years} but have never officially meet and artists I admire {let me just warn you....when I meet Pam Garrison, I am going to scream, she is art royalty to me}.  Silly uh?

Who knew?

A couple of months ago when I was in California, my last night my girlfriends and I went for a stroll on Rodeo Dr. and guess what I found?  A store called Ilori ...who knew there was such a store.  I like to think they named it after me.  I had to take a photo of it...too funny.  One more fabulous thing I forgot to share with you...check out these wonderful paper flowers from the Chanel window.

I love completed projects

 
After being at the ice rink all day for a skating competition with the girls, I needed a little time for myself.  {Really quick funny story....my daughter, Lily-Grace came in 2nd in a event and she won a silver medal but there was a pink ribbon for 6th place and she asked the lady who was handing out the awards, can I have that pretty pink ribbon instead of this medal?  She thought it was prettier.  Now that is a girl after my own heart, I thought the same thing too}.  After the kids went to bed, I poured a glass of red wine and I stayed up late last night to finish my portion of Andrea's and Heather's paper doll journals.  I just received them in the mail from Holly but with Silver Bella, the holiday's and some Stampington projects coming up, I decided to work on them right away.  That photo is me as a baby and it is Andrea's sign in page....that is my favorite page in her book.  It is so sweet with all of our baby photos in it.
