I would like you all to meet Lucy Irene

       

Well after a long nine months of pregnancy (it seemed like that) Miss Lucy Irene is finally here.  She is such a sweet little baby and we are all adjusting just fine to our new addition to our family.  I love these tee shirts (I am glad the girls liked them too) I had embroidered for the big sisters.  They were so excited to come to the hospital to meet their new sissy.  I am very lucky to have such good helpers.

 

Here is Lucy and myself after I came out of recovery (I can't believe I am posting this photo of myself....not how I want people to remember me).

 

I am taking some more time off from my blog and I will be back soon.   

Taking time off to have that sweet baby girl

Since my C-section is on Wednesday and my Mom is arriving on Monday, I am going to take some time off from my blog starting with this post.  I will miss you all and I will hopefully post photos of Lucy soon.  I will be back before you miss me. 

I can't leave you with no photos on this post so I thought I would show you the inspiration board I made in my craft closet.  I originally had one and I decided the other day to make another.  I have so many inspiring little pieces of paper, great old photos and lovely odds and ends and it seems to be a shame to keep them tucked away.  Here are some close ups.

I just adore this image of this little girl and I am fortunate to have a few photos of her.  I think she is my favorite little girls to use in my collages.  I made another collage with Lorraine this morning and I think she is a sweet as can be.  This collage will make number three.

 

I think my favorite part is the ruffles on the bottom.

All of these collages are now in the nursery and I couldn't be happier that Lorraine will be watching over Lucy.

Ahh....vintage pink ornaments

 

No crafting for me today....I was to busy bumming around town.  Did I mention to all of you that I LOVE NOT WORKING?  Oh my!  I went to one of my favorite antique stores this morning and I found a bag of vintage pink Christmas ornaments for $4.00.  Just look how pretty they are. 

On another note....all of you girls that went to Silver Bella, please do post about it.  I am dying to hear all about it and see all of the photos.  I did see a few photos here and there on some blogs.  I wish I could of been there...definitely next year. 

A collage for a friend

 

My girlfriend came over this morning with her Grandpa's original strawberry berry labels and tickets from Marshall Arkansas in hand.  Her grandparents had saved them all these years and she wanted to do something special with them.  So, I made this for her.  I am very happy with how it turned out and so was she.

Look at the ticket below, her Grandpa's name (Coy Holliman) is on the ticket and that is how he use to get paid after he picked the strawberry's.  What a great piece of the past to have, especially from a relative.

 

I could literally sit all day and make collages.  What a nice morning.....I am off to make some spinach and artichoke pizza for my husband for lunch.  Have a great day.

I love when my girls decorate

 

My little ladies were a little bummed this year when I didn't put their Christmas tree in their room.   With the baby on the way I just didn't have it in me to decorate another tree.  So, I let them decorate their room and look what they came up with.  I am impressed!  They strung pearl garland around their wire dress form and adorned her with silver glittery stars.  They sure do make their Momma proud.

     

    

Boo hoo....

Today I am decorating the rest of the house for Christmas and I was so excited to open this up and hang it on the wall.

   

And I noticed the stripe ornaments is broken.  Bummer.

 

Oh well...that is how it goes, I guess.  At least my favorite angel is unharmed.

Yes I know I am crazy....

   

I made my poor husband bring out all of the Christmas decorations last night and I have been decorating the house this morning.  Since my c-section is on 11/26, I really will not feel like decorating the house after so I decided to do it early.  My husband thinks I am obsessive about things, maybe he is right but I am in that nesting mode and every thing in my house needs to be perfect when I come home from the hospital.  The second photo above is a kit that I bought from Pam Garrison a couple of years ago and it has to be my absolute favorite Christmas decoration.  I wish she would sell those kits again and I would make one that said The Oles Family andkeep it up all year.  It was just sitting on the dinning room table and I had to photograph it.  Yesterday, I actually made two projects but only showed you one.  I embellished a top hat to put on top of our Christmas tree.  I am getting a little tired of what I have been doing the past couple of years, so I wanted something different.   I used  part of my little project that is currently on the cover of Somerset Life.  I had no clue what in the heck to do with since it was just an empty box that I decorated.  I used the bow I made out of burlap to decorate my felt top hat.  I think it turned out great....here is a photo.

I am off to hop in the shower, this afternoon it is a Thanksgiving feast at school. I have been invited my my girls to have lunch with them at school.  Have a great day.

First official day off.....project #1

 

Yes it is finally official....I am now on maternity leave!  If everything works out and the baby doesn't decide to come early, I will have two weeks off prior to my c-section.  I am watching Martha Stewart right now and I am loving it.  I am totally relaxed and loving life.  This morning at 8:00, I did a little organizing in the kitchen and after that I decided to do a little crafting.  I bought these large snowflakes (at Wal-Mart in their Christmas department for $2.00) sprayed a little Design Master Pecan spray to age the silver and added a winter wish tag.  I am going back to the store to buy more...I had fun making them.  Have a great day, I am off to get a pedicure.

Monkey see monkey do.....

I read Cerri's post the other day and she posted about this and I thought to myself....OHHHHH, I need that.  So I went to Target and bought it and here it is.  Now Miss Lucy will have a Christmas stocking all to herself.  Cerri, thanks for the tip. 

 

Just look at the adorable rhinestone crown pin on it....I wish they still carried a full line of Rachel Ashwell Christmas line.  Oh well, I will take what I can get.

 

I also went to Hobby Lobby and bought these wonderful silver glass glitter snowflake ornaments.  I think I am going to embellish them with some vintage Christmas trim.  They were 1/2 off and they were only $1.99 each....oh how I love a bargain.  As you can see below, I bought a bunch of them.  My husband doesn't get it, but I know all of you will.  I think they had four different snowflake designs.

     

I am going to take it easy tonight, I can't believe that I have a cold on top of being pregnant.  I am really tired and have a terrible soar throat.  I just can't catch a break....Oh I forgot to mention that I am STILL throwing up every morning.  That should of subsided in my second trimester, I am 36 weeks pregnant.  I just keep thinking to myself....two more days of work!  Ok, No more....I am sorry to complain.

On a happy note, the girls in my neighborhood are throwing me a brunch tomorrow and I am looking forward to spending some girl on a Saturday morning.
