I started to decorate around the house for Christmas. It is so much work to put it all up and then bam! It is time to take it all down. This year, I am going to enjoy it a little longer. So here we go....I'll give you a little holiday tour.
This is a Joyeux Noel banner kit I purchased last year from Pam Garrison. I just love it and I would buy another one in a heart beat if she sold them again.
I made these cones out of vintage sheet music and old earrings and buttons last year. Inside of each cone is a nest (you can't see them very good in the photos).
Don't laugh at me...but these gold wish ornaments are from Wal-Mart. I added tobacco seam binding and a gold star on the top. Not bad for .97 cents uh?
I love this little gold Santa...He is a bit over the top.
Here is another vintage ornament.
The little angel found a home on the tree.
Here is a photo of the entire tree...I don't think the photo looks great. Our tree is 9 1/2 feet tall so it is hard to get it all in. It is really funny to my Mom that we have a fake tree because I grew up driving an hour away to cut one down each year. I love real trees but I also LOVE that our light are already on and I don't have to mess with it.
I made these houses last year and never used them. I wasn't happy how they turned out but this year I like them and they sit under the tree.
This is our mantle in our family room. Normally I add fresh greenery to the mantel with gold berries but this year, I decided to do it a little different. I used my favorite vintage ornaments and tied them with seam binding.

These little guys were suppose to be for my girls but they were too cute and I needed to use them right away. This garland on the banister going up stairs.

This angel was my Grandmas and I remember when I was little trying to play with her.
These two are my favorite snowmen.
I still have more Christmas decorations to show all of you but it will have to wait until next time. My Mom is arriving today from Detroit and I probably will not have time to do much blogging so have a great Thanksgiving.
