I went all day to the flea market with my girlfriend and then we went out to dinner and drinks after. The sad thing was we brought all of our purchases in the restaurant to look at them. The people dining probably thought we were crazy. That was OK, we needed to see and go through everything again and again.
It is nice to go by yourself but it is really nice to share your treasures with a friend. (Keep your eyes on To my dear sister when she posts her items on Flicker. She bought many great things). It was great because we split many things and it worked out great. I think we are going to make it a monthly event. Here is some of the treasures that I found. I really like the vintage sales mens cards from the 30's. I need to go back and get more. I always buy sheet music when it is only a $1.00 a book. You can never have enough. I thought I would use the heart box to store all of my vintage buttons.
I also bought a great hat that has 4 huge vintage millinery flowers as big as saucers. I am very excited about as well. Here it is below with a bird that was only fifty cents.
This is what I am so excited about...the vintage ledger. It was a scrapbook of a young girl. I am going to embellish it with some vintage ribbon, rhinestone broach and crepe paper and make Pam Garrison proud! I will post a photo of it when I am done. Here are a only a few photos of what is inside. There are about 30 pages filled with photos.
Hello and welcome to my little blog. I hope you will all find me. I am not sure how? I am so addicted to Flicker that I thought I would try a blog. I am so inspired by all of the blogs that I read and the photos on Flicker. I have met so many nice folks out there in Flicker land that I thought I could meet more of you.
I love taking photos and telling my girlfriends (Oh so pretty and To my dear sister on Flicker) about the goodies that I just bought at the flea markets or something that I just made. It is very nice to share things with others who get it because my husband thinks I am crazy. But that is OK!
I thought I would share a few of the banners that I just made and they are in my Flicker shop.
